CHAPEL IN THE WOODS WEDDING
Katelyn and Connor’s wedding took place in The Woodlands on a beautiful summer day in August! Their ceremony was at Chapel in the Woods which has stunning architecture and floor to ceiling windows. It’s surrounded by tall trees which are perfect for portraits! Their reception took place at The Woodlands Country Club inside of their banquet hall that backs up to the golf course. The sunset over the golf course towards the end of the night was a photographer’s dream! Katelyn and Connor couldn’t have picked better venues for their big day.
Katelyn and Connor live in Austin, but they came down to Houston for their engagement session a few months ago. I loved getting to know them and hearing all about their wedding plans, and I even got to see the chapel in person for Katelyn’s bridals. They are such a sweet couple, and it was such an honor capturing their special day!
Flash forward to their wedding day, and the girls all got ready at the country club before heading over to the ceremony site. Once at the Chapel in the Woods, Katelyn shared a First Look with her dad, and then she shared a private moment with Connor. They chatted about how excited they were to see each walking down the aisle, and it melted my heart! We took bridesmaid and groomsmen photos outside before it was officially time for Katelyn to walk down the aisle with her dad. Connor’s reaction was the sweetest as he held back tears at the sight of his beautiful bride, and the ceremony was filled with string music and meaningful scripture.
THE WOODLANDS COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING
After the ceremony, everyone headed over to The Woodlands Country Club for cocktail hour which took place inside and outside on the wraparound patio. LG Entertainment announced the newlyweds, and then it was time to get the party started! After the special dances and cake cutting, we snuck outside with Katelyn and Connor for some sunset bride + groom portraits on the golf course. I think golf courses might be my new favorite place to take photos!!
Guests danced the night away and took photos in the photo booth provided by LG Entertainment. The dance floor was jampacked all night, and guests were surprised by a fog machine AND a confetti canon to end the night! Katelyn and Connor sure know how to throw a fun party! The newlyweds shared a private last dance on a dance floor topped with confetti before running through sparklers to their getaway car.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Macalla! We loved capturing all of the sweet moments of your wedding day, and we wish you all the best on this new journey together!
