GRAND GALVEZ WEDDING

Brooke and Sam’s wedding took place at Grand Galvez in Galveston, Texas. Galveston is one of our favorite places to spend time as a family, so we love any chance we have to travel there. As a husband and wife team based in Houston, photographing a coastal inspired wedding in Galveston is a breath of fresh air! Brooke’s wedding planner from LNC Weddings described Brooke’s vision as “East Coast Yacht Club meets Galveston Island.” Their “preppy color palette” and butter yellow bridesmaids dresses tied in perfectly with the historic hotel’s charm.

Grand Galvez has a rich history and is known for its iconic shade of pink. Brooke and Sam opted for a sunny outdoor ceremony with the hotel in the background and the cutest umbrellas for shade. After the ceremony, guests moved inside for cocktails and passed appetizers outside of the hotel’s 1920’s inspired bar. I loved seeing guests marvel at the beautiful ballroom which was decorated with statement floral arrangements and nautical touches, like the custom sailboat drink menu at the bar. Every detail was intentionally chosen, including my favorite personal touch, a bananas fosters late night snack!

As the night continued, guests were surprised with custom wedding hats on the dance floor. They enjoyed live music by the Jordan Kahn Orchestra who led the newlyweds in a fun “second line” grand exit at the end of the night.
