rustic grace estate wedding in Dallas

Carleigh and Dreu got married at Rustic Grace Estate last weekend. My husband, Alex, and I roadtripped up to Dallas and expected a 90% chance of rain. We were armed with a few emergency umbrellas and were starting to brainstorm rainy day photo spots at the venue. I think everyone at the wedding was shocked that despite the forecast, we did not see a drop of rain! Everything about Carleigh and Dreu’s wedding day was perfect. They wanted a rustic wedding, and I can’t think of anything more fitting than a little white chapel, red reception barn, and tons of details filled with southern charm. (Not to mention I am in LOVE with their lavender and peach color combination!)

Carleigh and Dreu were all smiles all day long. Carleigh has a contagious laugh, and I found myself laughing right along side her throughout the day! After a beautiful ceremony and fun bridal party photos, the sun started to set and the venue was lit by twinkling lights. During Carleigh and Dreu’s first dance, a side of the barn was opened up to reveal a gorgeous sunset. I was completely surprised! The rest of the evening was filled with country music, sweet wedding toasts, and a bubble exit!

Fun fact: Carleigh and I went to college together and were even lab partners in oceanography! (But honestly, I’m pretty sure Carleigh did most of the work because I was convinced that I hated all types of science!) It’s so much fun getting to watch college friends find the love of their lives and start their futures together. Needless to say, I loved being a part of Carleigh and Dreu’s wedding day! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Bynum!!
