jaw-dropping proposal story
I first met Kathy and Chris at one of my favorite coffee shops in College Station- Sweet Eugene’s. It was the perfect half-way spot between Houston and Waco. When I was a student at A&M, I spent most of my time studying there. Now, I meet with clients there to hear more about their wedding plans. Oh, how the tables have turned! I loved learning all about Kathy and Chris’ upcoming summer wedding at The Carriage House, but I especially loved hearing their proposal story! Chris proposed to Kathy at the Cliffs of Moher when they were vacationing in Ireland. Does it get any more romantic than that?! I think my jaw dropped when they showed me the photo of Chris down on his knee with the cliffs in the background.
the game plan
We started Kathy and Chris’ session at a field in College Station. The weather wasn’t too cold or too hot, so Kathy and Chris were able to achieve two completely different looks in their photos. This was perfect since they are getting married in July! Now they have cozy seasonal photos to enjoy now and more “summery” photos to enjoy later!
A couple weeks ago, I announced my new Fall/Winter Style Guide for Kati Hewitt Couples. It gives helpful tips about how to create the perfect engagement outfits and has tons of examples! I’m pretty sure Kathy and Chris didn’t need my help because they had THREE picture-perfect outfits on the day of their session. (Despite only having the Fall Guide in their hands a couple days prior to that!)
Once we finished up at the field, we headed to Downtown Bryan. I wish the shops and restaurants would have been open on Sunday because Kathy and Chris have never been to that area before. I told them all about “First Friday”, and they told me there is something similar in Waco! We strolled up and down the streets (Kathy was a trooper in her heels!) while taking pictures all along the way. I think my favorite photos from their session might be the ones on the gray stairs- go sneak a peek at them!
I can’t wait to work with these two again in July!
